Jessica Conway

Bali 2019 + Thailand 2020

Jessica Conway is a Ventura-based yoga student, teacher and Registered Nurse. She credits yoga with helping her define and align her life with her sankulpa (heart’s longing), and she is passionate about helping others manifest their own dreams, as well- both through the classes she teaches and the relationships she forms off the mat. She teaches a strong and playful vinyasa based flow focused on empowering her students to push past their perceived boundaries and open their hearts and mind to all the benefits of the practice.

I practice to stay connected to my body, my mind, my community and to stay inspired as a teacher. I teach because I hope to provide a space for others to feel supported, empowered and confident. I am inspired by my mentors and teachers who support and encourage me to be my best, and walk the walk, my students who show up and do their best, every day, but most of all, by others who are living their dreams and aligning their life with their sankulpa! Marinella Puerto

Sardinia 2020

Marinella, a native of the island of Sardinia (Italy), graduated from the Center for Ayurveda.

She has been trained in the Guru Kulam tradition; a tradition in which the presiding teacher takes responsibility for the academic, as well as the personal and spiritual training of the student.

The science of Ayurveda was not new to her. In fact, when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2013 she decided to treat her disease holistically. That is when she met her guru and mentor Dr. Mela Gaskins-Butcher, Founder and Director of the Center for Ayurveda.  Marinella will tell you that MS has changed her life.  She is thankful that it has brought her to Ayurveda, the science of life and conscious living!  She firmly believes that our body can heal itself if given the proper tools.
